REINCARNATION

In this live session, we looked into reincarnation stories that children around the world tell spontaneously at an early age. In our discussion, we considered how children are less likely to have something to gain for telling such stories, as opposed to adults who may pose as reincarnations of past illustrious figures. If children are sincere, and the phenomenon is confirmable, then every creature in the world would be subjected to the natural process of reincarnation or rebirth. We also look at how skeptical scientists try to show that what they call chance could explain some claims of reincarnation memories that children profess. Yet, their method for doing so includes coaxing children into telling stories about children who died, and not persons who died, which is a major design flaw, even if one thinks that coaching children into inventing a story corresponds to the phenomenon of spontaneous, deeply felt memories.
