In this live session, we examine critically the Flat Earth documentary called Level (2021). It features popular and questionable flat earth personalities, such as Hitler loving Eric Dubay, ODD and others. I look into how it presents information, evidence, arguments, and focus on the featured characters and the stories they tell.
This film was celebrated immediately by typical flat earthers who are just happy to see anything coming out that does not support the mainstream cosmological narrative. Yet, as with most mainstream flat earth materials, it provides some useful information but it is tainted with cringy self-promotion and fooling around.
The material might be valuable to hard core flat earthers, but it’s many cringy elements would scare off most reasonable people looking at this information for the first time. As an original thinker and serious critic of the colonial cosmology, I find this film impossible to endorse, despite its use of valuable information.
